*Across the nation, and across the world, Slow Food is working hard to preserve and protect local foods and food traditions. More than 80,000 members in over 130 countries across the world have become co-producers, not consumers, because by being informed about how our food is produced and actively supporting those who produce is, we become a partner in the production process. In the U.S., we have 15,000 members across the country who are part of chapters called convivia that plan events and programs in their communities.
